Inaugural Run On My Sled Was Golden.

finished-sledToday was the inaugural run on my new sled.   Did 5 runs Avenida Escala (1:22’s – 1:24’s) and just had a few issues, as to be expected.  In the second run the back bumper fell off (that’s the vinyl thing) so I stopped at the end of the run and and then shook the front one and thought it wouldn’t come off, but on the last run it did, rolled right over it and speed wobbled everywhere just from the impact but it stabled out. But since (as Katye says) I piss awesomeness, I handled it :)   The sled did come up a bit and knock the crap out of the back of my knee and leg.  I need to check everything over now because that was pretty hard but it rolled smooth all the way down the rest of the run with ease. Anyway, screws are too short
for the bumpers and maybe because the board is flexing pretty good.  Steve said he will put larger screws in once he drills the hole at Templin.

I fit great even with bulky leathers, the headrest pushes my helmet right down, I like it!! And these
leathers are so huge on me, I can’t wait to get the new ones Wed.   BTW I don’t need grip tape
the sled is snug enough and I don’t feel like I am going to come out of it.  I went so fast I made it up hill again and then back down. I can take it from the stop sign to stop sign with ease, one gully, two right turns, a steep ass grade, and a gnarly left turn then all straight and leveling out until the end. All directly in front of my house. Nice.

Anyway, will ride again later maybe.  I have to go pick up some 10-32 screws/bolts, more redz bearings, more lunatic bearings, and some more hardware. I used a vice grip and the allen key to tighten those back bolts.  It was fine, but will try to locate the deep set.
