I was looking over the map to see what is closed up at Mendo for the weekend and thought I’d post these. Some are still down from last rainy season, but a few are new. This area (David Flat, Elk Mountain, Pillsbury) is okay to ride for red sticker season (unless otherwise posted such as elk mating season in Pillsbury) so even though it is hot and dusty as can be, you can still ride it. Until I saw the weather…111F!!
So, yeah. I am staying home. Anyway trail/road closures…
- M5 past Cedar Camp is still GONE. The map shows the closure at the bend but it isn’t closed there, that is the righter hander water crossing that is still passable. The actual washout is a bit past that. You absolutely cannot pass it in anything but a dirtbike but it isn’t safe (and you can get fined $5,000). - Trail 21 out of Little Stonyford area at the 42 junction. Closed until possibly April 2018. Notice and Map: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd555372.pdf
- Trails 11, 12, 45, 54, 56 in Grindstone area. Notice: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd529003.pdf Map: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd529004.pdf
