I REEEEALLY Want to Ride Fontana March 14th :(

FASTRACK RIDERS UPDATE (03-06-10)

Fastrack Riders first 2010 Las Vegas Motor Speedway event is
Sunday, March 14th on the 1.8 mile Classic Course.  The Accu
Weather forecast is predicting the temperatures to be in the
low to mid 70’s so just about perfect riding weather on the
really fun Classic Course.  Level III is sold out but we
still have spaces available in Level I and Level II.  It is
only $175 per rider compared to last year’s pricing of
$195.00 per rider.

Trackdays are so expensive. Maybe if I don’t eat until then I can afford it, lol.  *sigh* It’s only 45 minutes from my house so the travel is not the issue.  No, I lie. It IS an issue as well because I can’t necessarily tow my bike with my SLK. So until I sell it and get a truck, I’m stuck.  I need to win the lottery. New bike, more hp, new truck, new trailer, money to burn so I can waste it on seat time so I can get my pointless novice license.  Which will never allow me to recover the investment and will surely cause me injury and financial loss in the longrun.  So, I just need to have FUN and never take it too seriously. Granted, I am competitive, but I am also not stupid.  Now, if I would have started when I was 21, you guys would have had your asses handed to you. 😉 hehe

Reality Check: If you are reading this and want to get into racing or even just trackdays. Be prepared to dump a ton of your own money into plastic, aluminum and rubber to get good enough to garner other people’s money.  If you can’t really afford it yourself, stop now and pick a cheaper hobby. If you are sick with the need for racing and are willing to give up everything for it, you will end up alone, surrounded by your trophies, several sets of crashed leathers hanging in your closet, and a collection of scars, plates, pins, and rods.

Good luck with that.

ROFLMAO! My sentiment exactly, girl! I’ve decided land speed racing is easier on the wallet, especially on a public road *eg* j/k Even though, I wouldn’t consider LSR cheap… Let’s just say, it’s less expensive. =D

I feel your pain, though. I’ve done a little math, and I could probably afford about two track days per year. Shit, I have to get new rubber EVERY time I play in the damn mountains. WTF?!? No wonder everybody around here is so fond of ‘Redneck Racing’, it’s cheaper until the cops show up. LOL

Soooo, until both bikes are paid for and the truck is paid off, I’ll be framing that provisional novice license for bragging rights. Hahahahaaaa…. I have a rich-as-shit bio father, maybe if I hit him up he’ll sponsor my ass… no thanks… I rather sprint around the track in my sneakers. 🙂

P.S. Maybe add a PayPal donation button to your site. =D

    1. Hmmm…. you are not racer material then. ;P Ooops… forgive me father for I have sinned… =D Sorry, I’m in one of my badass moods. LOL

  2. Nasty woman! 😉 I’m just anti-racer right now. I still love my bike, the track, the sights, the smells. Just bad memories I want to put behind me. I’m going to have to take some courses with Privateer’s Garage so I can take care of my own shit like Miss Busa does. I have it in me, I just think food is more important right now, or a roof over my head. And my sanity for one.

It’s just not a good time.

  3. I knew what you meant, besides, the smiley did come out. I hear you, woman. I hear you loud and clear. I do believe I just got accolades for my shitty wrenching attempts. LOL Well, thank you. I wouldn’t if I had some cash lying around, but every time that happens I buy Dainese shit or some other crap I don’t really need. LOL Gawd, I’ll never get those performance upgrades if I keep it up. I’m such a damn gear wh0re.

Here’s a little something I learned from wrenching: If a part costs more than $350 you can bet your ass it’s gonna have a scratch on it before it’s even bolted on.

Take care of your shit (always comes first, otherwise the fun isn’t so fun anyway, with all that freakin’ guilt hanging over your head, who needs that!?!), then maybe one of these days we actually get to ride together 🙂
